About/Bio

I am an Instructional Technology Specialist at Elgin Middle School in Elgin, Tx.  I graduated from Brigham University with a degree in Business Education and taught Business classes before moving into my current role. I live by the principle “Never Stop Learning”.

Technology has changed the world in ways I could not imagine when I was in high school writing programs in DOS. When I began teaching, I taught keyboarding on typewriters for two years before we got “networked” computers (no internet access at that time). The job I have now did not even exist when I graduated from college.

I believe we, as teachers, must prepare students for a world that does not yet exist. As educators, we need to instill in students a desire to “Never Stop Learning”.

This ePortfolio will reflect my learning journey.
