OSCQR Course Design Review

As mentioned previously, my course is an online professional learning opportunity and was designed for members of my faculty. After completing the OSCQR Course Design Review, I feel that the time I spent planning my course helped me to be successful in creating a course that would be easy for my teachers to access and use. While reviewing the course, I did however discover there are a few minor revisions needed that could make the course even better.

My course will be delivered using the learning management system (LMS) that my school uses. The first topic in the course is the course information so it is easy to access the information. Course information includes a welcome and important information, the course syllabus, information on meetings and discussions and a printable course calendar. There are three minor revisions that will make this section better. 1) A Google Form, that must be completed, will be added to the syllabus section as proof that the syllabus was read. 2) I will specifically mention in the introduction that this course is an online course. 3) The four programs teachers will be learning will be listed in the technology section of the Syllabus as well as in the introduction.

The course I created focused on using technology tools. Specifically four tools for creativity. Links to the programs are in the resources section, but I will also add the link to the tool that is focused on that week in the assignment section. In addition, I will add the privacy policy of each tool in the resources section for each week.

Finally, the only table that I have used in my course is the rubric, I will rework the rubric for weeks 1, 2 and 3 to better fill the page and with a larger font to make it easier to read. In addition, I will add a brief description on the rubric, including the course and tool the rubric is being used for.
